God Bless You . . .
.
The man whispered, "God, speak to me"
and a meadowlark sang.
"God, speak to me"
and the thunder rolled across the sky.
The man did not listen.
He looked around and said,
"God let me see you."
And a star shined brightly.
And he shouted,
"God show me a miracle."
Then a life was born.
So, the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know you are here."
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.
But, the man brushed the butterfly away

Goes to show that people do not stop and wait and listen...
What did he want, the clouds to part for a choir in the sky?
I've been watching but must have missed Him. Innocents dying of cancer, in wars that rage in His name. No, if He did exist I can’t help but think as our father He would have done something to stop the madness. If He does exist then I think Child Protective Services should take us away from Him as He is neglecting his children.
Phos: Don't blame God for what human are doing...Like as little, as I'm sure you don't blame your father, for your own mistakes and wrong doing.
The first time I saw this it was from a Christian relative..and I replied much as I am replying to you..I am not a Christian..but I do believe in a higher power than humans..and it just could be that power is in fact nature..the thunder and the butterfly..the heavens and the new born baby..all part of the natural state of things..could be that human's ideas about god are just that..ideas..while nature is all around us and we ignore it..
Kirsten, I love love you because you are a part of me. But you have read too many books that have taken you in the wrong direction.
And that is the whole problem with humanity. This post was gibberish for the most part.
I suggest that you throw your bibles and religions away, because they don't know what they are talking about.
Hugs.
guyk: You are so right and we are on the same track of opinion.
My opinion is that whatever you call your superior belief is OK...if it suits you and "help" you in your life.
The word "God" is only a word. If one believe that thunder is the anger of God ... It like as well can be the anger of the nature ... and both is correct.
BBC: Yes.
YOU are the only one in the world that have read the correct books, understood them correct and have the correct belief...
At least, that is what is correct FOR YOU.
you love god.
Any discussion about God is bound to cause heated arguments. The believers are absolutely convinced God exists while the atheists are absolutely convinced of the opposite.
In the end, does it matter?
I don't know. If it helps people to believe in God, then why spoil it for them? I certainly don't get into religious arguments with others because I never expect to bring anybody around to my point of view. Even if I point out a particular fault of a particular belief system, what does it achieve? Either the person will dismiss my point or go on to a different belief system. Some people just need to believe in God, whatever structure that belief takes. I don't.
Lexcen: I agree with you. unless someone asks for ones opinion, the best is to keep quiet.
As I touched it in my book; Whatever a person believe is what is correct for that particular person.
